Where to Propose in Las Vegas
If it’s glitz and glamour you want for your proposal location, Las Vegas is hard to beat. From the excitement of the strip with its outrageously opulent casino hotels and fine restaurants, to the natural beauty of the surrounding area, Las Vegas as everything you need for a truly memorable proposal and more.
Iconic Proposal Locations
Whether you’ve been to Las Vegas before or not, there are certain locations you’re bound to be familiar with, and some of these make fantastic sites for a marriage proposal. The best known and still the most popular is the Bellagio fountains, a spectacular display where the water really seems to dance to the music. Whether you join the crowds on the strip to watch the display, or book a room and watch it from your balcony, the Bellagio fountains are a truly memorable place to propose.
Other iconic locations include the Volcano at the Mirage, created by the same design firm as the Bellagio fountains, which is perfect for creating an exciting passionate mood. The volcanoes explode on the hour every hour between 5pm and 11pm. You could also choose a spot near the extraordinary waterfalls at Wynn, where seven falls cascaded down a manmade mountain that’s 144 feet high, or you could propose on a romantic gondola ride at the Venetian.
For something a little less spectacular, but oh so Vegas, why not get down on one knee beneath the well known ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign, a real Vegas landmark that was installed in 1959. You could also propose in front of the sphinx at the Luxor Hotel, in the half sized Eiffel Tower replica at Paris, or in front of The Little White Wedding Chapel!
Adrenaline Fuelled Proposal Locations
For some people just the sight of the roller coasters and rides at Las Vegas is enough to make their stomachs turn, but if you’re an adventurous couple a mid-air proposal could be perfect. The roller coaster at New York New York is a great option which simulates a jet fighter's barrel roll while taking you on the famous Heartline twist. You can even plan to get married on the roller coaster if she says yes!
The rides at the Stratosphere, the highest building in Las Vegas, are literally record breaking. The Stratosphere has the world’s highest thrill rides and the tallest controlled free fall in the world, known as Sky Jump Las Vegas. Why not propose after you’ve been on one of these rides while the adrenaline is still pumping and you can take in the fantastic view over the whole of Vegas and beyond at the same time?
Proposal Locations Outside Vegas
Although Las Vegas can’t be beaten for excitement and atmosphere, some people prefer a quieter, more intimate location for their proposal, so here are a few great ideas for getting away from the crowds. Take a cruise on Lake Mead, ideally on the Desert Princess Paddle Wheeler, and propose with a view of the spectacular Hoover Dam. Alternatively you can book an intimate gondola cruise from the Lake Las Vegas Marina.
Nature lovers will love a day trip out of Las Vegas to visit Mount Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, or Valley of Fire. Make sure you take a romantic picnic with you, along with some wine or champagne for after your proposal. Alternatively, if your budget can stretch to it, take a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon at sunset. You’ll also get a fabulous view of Las Vegas on your way back.
