Nearly falling over on one knee...
I was in my flat with my flat-mate, Emma. We were planning a girly night, you know, movies, popcorn yada yada yada. My boyfriend, Harry, had Emma's number in case of emergencies. (Emma's idea, by the way.) Her Nokia phone started ringing, and she left me setting up the DVD player. (we were watching 27 Dresses) When Emma came back into the room, something was up. She was acting all wierd, suspicious, as if she knew something. Then, MY phone started ringing, and it was Harry. I answered him, and he asked me if I fancied going out tonight, somewhere special. I didn't know, and said I didn't want to leave Emma at such short notice. But Emma said she didn't mind. So Harry said he'd come pick me up in 20 minutes. I went mad!! Me and Emma were running around everywhere, getting me ready. When Harry came, he said did I know he loved me more than anything. I answered Yes, of course I do. Then he took me to the ''Special Place'' which turned out to be the small hill where we met. Harry had planned an evening picnic, complete with Shloer (my fave fizzy drink) and heart-shaped chocolates. Harry pulled a boquet of red and white roses out of the car. I didn't notice them before, as Harry had cleverly covered them with a blanket. He said he loved me so much, and did I love him? I answered that I loved him more than anything in the whole world, galaxy, universe, including my pet dog Marti. And believe me, there's some competition there. Harry said that was good, then got down on one knee. I gasped, and said are you gonna do what I think... I trailed off as Harry pulled out a jeweller's box and opened it. The box contained the most beautiful yet classic vintage engagement ring, gold with a sapphire, an emerald and a diamond. Harry said, softly, Anna, will you ma-AAARRGHH!! The aaarrghh!! bit was due to Harry nearly falling over mid-proposal.Luckily, I grabbed his shoulders. Anna, will you marry me?, he repeated. YES!!!!!!!!!! I yelled, and several other people on the hill (you would be surprised at the amount of people out at 8.30, on a hill) started clapping. Laughing, Harry took a bow.
